Dr. Donna Hill, MAM
University of Georgia
Dr. Hill graduated from the MAM program at the University of Georgia in 1988. Her first position was Director of Veterinary Services at Peterson Farms. Her second position was Regional Veterinary Services Manager and later Director of Health Services at Perdue Farms. In all of these positions, she spent a large percentage of her time in the hatcheries. At Perdue Farms, she worked with the first high yield breeders in traditional multistage hatcheries. Incubation quality in yield breeds became the focus of her career.
1998-2023, she became a hatchery consultant for Hoechst Roussel, Intervet, HatchTech, and CEVA. During this time, she started HatchTech USA. In this capacity, she sold and built the Fieldale Lavonia hatchery in 2005.
She retired from hatchery visits in 2023. She is still interested in educating the industry about incubation quality in yield breeds with old and new equipment.
